Marino Vagliano

Born in 1951 in Neuilly-sur-Seine (France), he studied Sociology and Cinema
at Paris VIII University.
He conceived and directed two short fiction movies :
- passi ovattati, 12 mn colour
- peau pierres, 8 mn n&b
in 35 mm n&b and presented at the festivals of Hyères and Epinay.

and also three Art movies :
- F.X. Messerschmidt, 12 mn in 35 mm colour (1992). Festivals of
Lausanne, Montréal, Cannes (Cinéma de France), Beaubourg biennale
exhibition of Art movies, Special Jury award of the international festival
of Unesco Art movie (1993) Le Louvre (2011)
- Four painters for one series, a 24 mn documentary, super 8 & video (1994
to 1998)
- Chez Charley, 24’15 documentary, super 8 & xdecam (2012)

Then he set up a film production company ( Duo Films) with the filmmaker
Abderrahmane Sissako.

Presently, he lives partly in Paris, partly in Mexico and shares his activity
between Cinema and Painting.
His next movie project : “ Un monde à côté”, (“A world beside”).
